How Much funding is out there?

There is over £500 billion worth of funding that goes into voluntary and community organisations, regeneration and community development in Europe. However, did you know that a large chunk of this actually goes unclaimed and has to be sent back to the funder? This funding could have been used to improve the environment, create more play spaces, develop a women’s empowerment scheme, or reduce drug misuse in a deprived area. However, it goes back to the funder because many organisations do not have the skills, resources, capacity or time to write complex funding bids. The diagram shows what type of funding is out there.
